HELLO EVERYONE! My name is Iman and I'm the new features editor.

A little about me: I'm going into my fourth year in the honours English literature program, I was the Ubyssey blog + opinion editor last year, my favourite colour is green and I'm super excited to start working with all of you!

Features is going full steam ahead this summer. We're talking mini-meetings, we're talking pitches, we're talking fun! We'll also be doing a little features pitch-to-publish workshop — more details can be found on the Ubyssey Discord, in the features Facebook group and down below!

Features summer workshop

Ever wanted to write a feature but have been busy with other stories or commitments? Ever wanted to dip your toes into the world of longform but with some individualized support? Well, you're in the right place!

The features section will be holding a July/August features workshop — you'll take your story from pitch to publication — and you'll be able to deep dive into something that interests you to write a beautiful piece of longform by the end of the summer.
