But first, a few announcements:
We have our usual weekly general meeting at 4 p.m. tomorrow. Whether you’re a seasoned contributor or new to the paper, come check out what The Ubyssey is working on these days and meet some of our editors.
The Ubyssey’s office will be closed during reading break from February 15—23. For any burning questions, please reach out to me via email.
This weekend, some of the editorial will be attending the Canadian University Press’s annual student journalism conference in Ontario. And The Ubyssey is short-listed for some JHM awards! Hurray for student journalism and congratulations to our nominees!
All the best,
— Fiona

Once I confirm your pitch request, you can expect a follow-up email from me within 24 hours with more details on the piece.
Consider conflict of interest implications when picking up a piece and ask me about this if you’re unsure.
I LOVE COMMUNICATION! I will check in with you throughout the writing process but it’s also on YOU to tell ME if you’re feeling stressed about deadlines or unsure about how to proceed with anything. I gotcha <3
